No fishing licenses required. All fishing gear is provided but you can bring your own. Bring a light jacket / raincoat, sunscreen and sunglasses. If you’re prone to motion sickness take your medication well before offshore charters depart. If at all possible, please do not wear black soled working or hiking boots; they really mark up the deck of the boat, thank you. We provide water and snacks. You are welcome to bring your own including adult beverages. Please drink responsibly while on your charter.

Even though the state of Maine has legalized both medicinal and recreational marijuana the Federal Government has not. You will be fishing on a federally licensed and regulated vessel therefore you cannot bring recreational or medicinal marijuana (or any other illegal drug) onboard. Thank you for your understanding. 

Obsession Charters considers tipping optional and at your discretion. If you had an enjoyable time while on your charter, a tip will be graciously accepted but certainly not in any way expected. 

  If you need to cancel your charter(s) and do so at least four weeks before your reserved date(s) your deposit will be refunded in full. Should you cancel your charter within the four week period prior to your date(s) your deposit will be refunded only if I am able to rebook your date(s). Should we have to cancel due to weather or rough seas I will refund your entire deposit if we cannot reschedule your charter for another day.

We do not have the ability to take walk ons or set up shared charters. All charters are by reservation. Contact Capt. Dave for available days. Even if you are looking for a charter on short notice, contact Capt. Dave. If he is not available he may know another good guide to refer you to.
